Bed Wood & Parts

"Our association with Scott O'Toole goes back to the 2008 Hot Rod & Restoration Show.  We attended a Data Standards seminar Scott presented on behalf of the SEMA BTC and walked away saying with the tools to get us started on data compliance.  We never miss one of his seminars as we always learn something new.  Scott has been tremendous help to our industry and would highly recommend his company's services." - Jeffery Major - President

About Bed Wood and Parts - They are the first choice for those serious about their pickup. From their inception, the mission of Bed Wood and Parts, LLC was, and still remains, to offer their customers, the highest quality service and products, at a competitive price, bringing their dreams and aspirations to reality.

As the bed floor is the largest flat surface on a truck, it plays an integral role in the quality and appearance of the final build. Whether customers are restoring their your own classic truck, building a one of a kind show truck or want to customize a new truck, we understand how important the quality and integrity of the bed wood is to them.  Although oak is an exceptional wood, it does not fit all builds, and until now, has been practically the only species of bed wood offered in the aftermarket. Truck enthusiasts need not only the highest quality available, but they need a choice in species to compliment their truck. When choosing the furniture or cabinetry for your home, a single species or style doesn't fit all needs. The customers' truck shouldn’t be any different. Remember, all trucks weren’t built to be equal. Bed Wood and Parts, LLC can meet all customers needs!

About Borgeson Steering Components -  Founded in Torrington, CT, Borgeson began manufacturing universal joints for lathes and milling machines in 1914.  By the 1920’s, Ford was using our universal joints for steering some of their prototypes. Borgeson Universal continued to develop and refine u-joints for industrial, aerospace and

OEM vehicle applications. Borgeson was also supplying steering universal joints for racing vehicles when purchased in 1982 by the current owners. Being street rodders, the new owners soon began developing applications for street rods. Borgeson has continually improved and developed the original needle bearing universal joints into the most reliable, smoothest operating, strongest u-joints you can buy.

Today, Borgeson is the leading manufacturer and supplier of aftermarket steering universal joints and steering components for the street rod, racing, specialty automotive and pickup truck markets. Seeking to expand, Borgeson purchased Mullins Steering Gears in 2001. Mullins had been providing the street rod industry with quality steering boxes and a full line of aluminum accessories for over 17 years. The first joint project was the Collapsible Rod Column which was honored with the NSRA 2001 Safety Product of the year award.

Their manufacturing facility is located in Torrington, Connecticut. This 50,000 square foot plant was designed and built for increased production efficiency and capacity so they can better serve their customers. They use the latest manufacturing and inventory control procedures to maintain stock, and take great pride in being able to ship most orders the same day, if placed by 3:30 PM Eastern Time. Borgeson believes that growth is based on a policy of honesty and always listening to customers, whether they are a corporation or a guy working in the garage. They try to respond to suggestions by developing needed innovations to help increase steering system safety and make building your car more fun. This dedication to safety has been recognized by the National Street Rod Association with Safety Product of the Year Awards in 1992 and 2001 and Street Rod Manufacturer of the Year Award in 1999. Ultimately, your vehicle’s safety depends on you. They strive to make Borgeson steering components as safe as possible. You can’t buy a stronger, safer u-joint anywhere in the world!

Their technical staff has over 70 years combined experience in the design and application of steering systems. Safety should be your most important concern as it theirs! They attend many shows during the year, so stop by their booth if you see them and say hello, they'll be happy to help you!

CFM Plus

"After attending a BTC seminar presented by Scott at the 2007 SEMA Show, we began on a mission to format our company data to comply to PIES (as we knew it at the time). During this process, we contacted Scott O'Toole and asked “Since PIES has a link for Certificate of Origin, does it have fields for “Image” links?”. After a few minutes of discussion, he helped us modify our template to accommodate digital asset fields so we could embed our URL links for each product image. When we presented our final product to one of largest WD's... they were thrilled with the data we submitted! Scott helped us get to a new level and we sold more parts as a result of his efforts". - Kirk Jones, President of Fastcore/CFM+

Howards Racing Components

"Scott and RPM Data Services has helped us step-up our game regarding data quality and ease of preparation.  We are confident that our data is being prepared correctly for use by our entire distribution network.  We are experts in making hardcore racing parts, not product data.  This is why we chose RPM as our data solutions partner." - Robert Lou - General Manager

About Howards Racing Components: The legendary name has always been synonymous with high performance camshafts and valve train innovation.  Their camshafts have been top fuel favorites since the early days of drag racing and the basic timing of Howards blown alcohol cams is still used in racing today.

Relocating to Oshkosh Wisconsin in 1998, Howards developed a new line of high performance engine components including forged steel connecting rods, crankshafts, billet mains caps, forged 2618 aluminum pistons along with numerous new camshaft profiles and valve train components.

Renamed as Howards Cams & Racing Components, they've continued race bred development of drag racing cams and as a result of the move, Howards Cams expanded into many other forms of racing. Today their history of continued cam, valve train and performance engine component innovation is well documented.

Products such as Direct Lube, mechanical flat tappet lifters increase oil at the friction surface, allowing greater RPM and spring pressure.
Precision Dense Forged Connecting Rods are simply the most advanced and reliable 6" Chevy rods available. Manufactured from ASTM 4260, these forged powered metal technology connecting rods have an extremely dense gain structure, when compared to billet or conventional forged rods. Not brittle like OE material can be, these rods feature fracture cap technology and come complete with ARP2000 bolts or L-19 cap screws. Howards is so confident in their connecting rods that they come with a one-year unconditional warranty against rod breakage.  And their latest forged steel 10 degree valve locks are stronger than machined steel locks and cost less.

From Sportsman to Pro, Circle Track to Road Racing, Mud Bog and Marine, Howards Cams & Racing Components takes the knowledge gained from hands on race involvement, refines it with some of the most sophisticated computer design equipment available and develops what their customers say are the best performing cams, valve train and engine components available.

Hypercoil Springs

"We first met Scott several years ago when he was preaching the PIES data standards at the PRI Show.  We knew we had to implement PIES but found it tough to find the resources internally to dedicate to the project.  We are glad that Scott started RPM and we were one of the first companies to partner with RPM for their services.  We now know that our data is in good hands and also that our customers will be able save much time working with our data and spend more time selling more parts." - Kelly Falls - General Manager

Milodon Performance

About Milodon... For 50 years since its founding in 1957, the name Milodon has been synonymous with premium quality racing components. Milodon started with Milo Franklin and Don Alderson, hence the name of MILO-DON.  Don was a racer, both at the drag races and the salt flats, and an aerospace engineer.  The Dead End Kids, who were the # 1 Top Fuel team in the Northeast in 1965, moved to California and became an instrumental part of Milodon for many years to come.

It was this engineering team that developed the major products that Milodon sells today.  Main caps, Gear Drives, Oil Pans and Fasteners were designed in an environment were failure was absolutely unacceptable.

The Milodon VII Liter Hemi - The brains of the Dead End Kids Top Fuel team was Joe Anahory.  It was Joe and Don that developed the mighty Milodon VII Liter Hemi block.  During the late 60's and 70's everyone who was anyone in drag racing ran this block.  The list included Don Garlits, Shirley Muldowney, John Force, Don Prudomme and so many more.  The Milodon Hemi was also used In Top Alcohol drag racing, Drag Boats and multi-engine Tractor Pullers.  The Milodon Hemi was known for "strongest bottom end in racing".  When other engines were throwing crankshafts on the ground with blackened bearings, the bearings in the Milodon VII Liters were perfect and ready for another run.

The Milodon Small Block Chevy - Milodon also developed an aluminum Small Block Chevy that was heavily run in Sprint Cars, road race and Blown Alcohol Dragsters.  It holds the record for the fastest Small Block Chevy car to run the Indy 500.  That car was driven by Dennis Firestone.  Dan Gurney Racing used this engine in great numbers for road racing.  They also wound up in a few airplanes, Porsche and Jaguar engine swaps and even a Top Fuel car, that made 85 passes before it failed.  Now that is tough!  Production of both aluminum engines ceased in 1985 when Milodon decided to focus more on the non-professional ranks.  The Pro classes draw the crowd but it is the tens of thousands of sportsman and weekend warrior racers that form the bulk of the sport.  Joe Anahory went on to design the Pisano JP1 Hemi block, all of Rodeck's TFX Hemi and Small Block Chevys, the Eagle dual overhead cam Hemi and a road race aluminum V-8 for Toyota.

Early Industry Involvement - Milodon was one of the founding members of the SEMA organization, which now has over 3000 performance automotive members worldwide.  In 1967 the first SEMA show included 65 companies.  These companies embodied the entire hot rod industry at that time, all under one roof at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.  The current SEMA show, now in Las Vegas, fills 2 million square feet and is four days long.  Today, there are only 17 of the founding companies left. In recognition of Milodon's quality, SEMA has also presented Milodon with the "Best Packaging and Display" award for innovative and outstanding product appearance.

Milodon has also been a proud sponsor of Drag Racing since 1967 starting with NHRA.  Since that time, Milodon posts about 1/4 million dollars each year in support of grassroots racers in NHRA, IHRA and big dollar bracket races.

The Way Its Done - It was in 1975 that Steve Morrison, Milodon's current owner, joined Milodon shortly out of college.  Steve learned first hand how racers mixed practical racing experience and engineering expertise to produce the finest parts you could buy.  And when Don Alderson, who was 6'7" at 325 lbs told you how it was to be done, you pretty much got the idea right away.  More than 1/3 of Milodon's current employees worked for the original Milodon team.  They are proud to carry on the heritage.

Products - Milodon's roots extend into virtually all forms of automotive and marine competition.  Milodon has taken its advanced technology to the Sportsman ranks and the street, manufacturing a wide range of race quality products to enhance performance and reliability in all applications.

It's important to note that the majority of all products in the line are made right at Milodon's Simi Valley, California facility. Included in these in-house capabilities are such operations as CNC machining, thread rolling, gear tooth cutting, metal forming and welding.

Philosophy - Milodon's objective has been to incorporate state-of-the-art manufacturing technology, aerospace caliber materials and stringent quality controls to produce true American-made, race quality performance products of exceptional value.

We all know that..... you can buy many brands cheaper than Milodon, but you can't any better!
