What is RPM Data Services and how can they help my company?

RPM Data Services is data solution provider catering to the specialty automotive aftermarket with a focus on the racing, high-performance and accessory segments. Our clients come from a wide variety of the automotive aftermarket. Many are small to mid-sized racing and performance companies, while others are larger clients that crossover into the traditional parts segment.  Any business that has product data challenges can benefit from our service. What type of services does RPM offer?

Do you have special rates or packages available?

Yes, we have various consultation, data preparation and retainer packages available, some of which offer discounts.  Contact us directly for more details.

Do you accept credit cards?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, business checks and cashier’s checks.  Open accounts are available to those clients that qualify.  Contact us for more details.

How is actual service time tracked?

We use time tracking software that allows us to punch in when we start a task and punch out when we complete it or need to step away from our desk. Unlike many others, we do not round up our time to 15 or 30 minute intervals. You can rest assure that you will only be charged for work performed and not a minute more.

How do I know how my maintenance and hosting fee is being spent?

At the end of each month, a report showing all the time used for that month is sent to you.  The report includes a breakdown of what tasks were completed and the time spent to complete them.

What do I get from my monthly fee?

Monthly fees entitle the client to submit new product additions whenever the product is about ready to go to market. These monthly fees also include product maintenance of existing products (supersedes, life cycle of discontinued items, pricing updates, etc.).  Please note that mass introductions of a new brand or a large series of new products are subject to additional charges for initial data preparation and storage.

Also included in our monthly fees is unlimited data syndication. Clients will not endure any additional fees to distribute their data to their customer base.

Do you outsource your work or send work overseas?

No.  All of our work is performed by our own personnel in the United States. We do not subcontract any work and we do not outsource any work overseas.

How quickly will my project be completed?

Turnaround time depends on the complexity and urgency of each project.  If your project is time sensitive, a deadline will be agreed upon before work begins. We are committed to delivering all projects on or before the deadline, but will communicate with the client if a problem arises.

What systems do you use to work remotely?

The Internet offers an amazing number of resources that make it easy for people to work together virtually. We frequently utilize remote desktop software, virtual collaboration sites, and various file transfer programs. If this sounds overwhelming, don’t worry! You can leave the details to us!

How do you ensure confidentiality?

Your confidentiality is very important to us. All of your work will be kept in a password secured folder on our server. All of our files are backed up to a remote location on a daily basis. In addition, each of our retainer agreements include a section stating that we will not directly or indirectly disclose to any person other than a representative of our Client any confidential or proprietary information pertaining to our Client, including but not limited to customer lists, contacts, financial data, sales data, supply sources, business opportunities for new or developing business, plans and models, or trade secrets. We are also happy to sign any additional confidentiality agreements that you provide.

Do we need to provide you with any equipment?

No you don’t. Our office is fully equipped with the latest modern technology and software.

How can I get my internal work and product data to you?

Clients can submit work to us via email, phone, fax, ftp upload, FedEx, UPS, or U.S. Mail.

How do I get started with RPM?
