In 2011, the Internet Governing Body ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) announced a program to the liberalization of the top-level domain (TLD) market. STEP FIVE - NO REPSONSE FROM YOUR WEBSITE PROVIDER - If you're not getting results from your website provider or can't even get them to call you back (and it happens a more than you think), contact the offical REGISTRAR directly. Explain your problem to the WHOIS registrant record and ask them to help.
They will put you in touch with their Legal and Compliance Department. Most times they are very cooperative and will do everything in their power to help you. However, please be aware that they will require you to supply a 'mountain of paperwork' for them to help you. You have to prove beyond a doubt that you should be listed as the 'TRUE' owner of the web domain in question. But be forewarned, most of the time, their hands are tied as your 'Website Provider' is acutally 'Legally' the owner of the domain on the existing documents in the eyes of most legal teams. Your only course of action if it reaches this point, is to contact an attorney in your area that specializes in Intellectual Property Law. Only a judge or abitrator can resolve your issue of ownership.
